UMEK. Techno. „Once Again“
2023 will be an important year for UMEK as he celebrates his 30th anniversary in the music industry, and this new release is his first of the year.
1605 has become the main distribution channel for UMEK’s own music, but he’s also featured on other scene-leading record labels, from Carl Cox’s Intec to Reinier Zonneveld’s Filth On Acid.
This latest release is a continuation of UMEK’s legacy as he continues to remind the world why he is one of techno’s most iconic artists.
„Once Again“ opens the release with a pulsating bassline nestled in a framework of hard percussion with fast-flowing hi-hats and a booming kick drum. The track’s namesake vocals are a key element alongside flickering acid stabs and an enticing breakdown that opens the vocal sample.
„Constantly Monitored“ is another fast and furious track driven by the pounding of a hard kick drum. The infectious lead synth leads to a euphoric breakdown before the drums kick back in and take the track up a notch.
